Sunday evening, when I reached campus for the buddy-buddee night, I was wondering why there are construction in front of auditorium. It look like a maze inside if you see from 2nd floor. Looks amazing. It is actually the One Life Do something by the World Vision Malaysia.
One Life Do Something is to let the visitors to walk in the shoes of children who endure extraordinary hardship due to HIV/AIDS and trafficking.
Today, JY and I went to campus early. Therefore, we went to checked out this One Life Do Something. We were given a mp3 to guide us through the whole trip. It was quite short, about 20 minutes I guess. When you walk in, just take your time, listen to the mp3 who will guide you and walk slowly.
There are 3 story for the venue of Monash University Malaysia, 3 kids from different part of this world. I get the Cambodian girl, and JY get the Pahang kid. It was full with photos and some decorations for the visit. It starts from the minute the girl is born till now.
The girl was forced to be a prostitute even she is underage and she get AIDS, even her mom kicked her away. It was really a sad story, and it is true. I felt so disgusted when I step in to the section which she had to be a prostitute. I' m not irritated. How can a girl can take this? She is just so young and she know nothing.
I felt depress and nearly cried. The one who save my tears is JY. Although we went to different story, the ending part was the same. She was just one step in front of me. She smiled to me when I step in to the same section as hers. That smile save the tears.
Thanks dear Jy for the smile and thanks darling Su for the hug which I asked for. Suddenly just feel like getting a hug from someone. and the concern that you paid to me during lectures. I know I look depressed.
Today is just the 1st day of One Life Do Something thing in the campus. It will end at 8th of March. Is good to have a look at it. There are more venue available, please check on the website of One Life Do Something.
